In July 2018 I have begun writing Growing Up In Australia – a collection of stories from people just like you. I’ve met so many people with some amazing stories and have wanted to do this for many years.
Would you like to share with me, and the world, a life-changing event in your life, a funny story about something that happened in your childhood, your family dynamic, a tragedy, or just a recollection of what it was like to be a child growing up in Australia (whenever that was)?
WHAT DO I NEED?
Prose and poetry are both welcome, and multiple stories are encouraged – once you start remembering, you’ll probably come up with more than one you’d like to share. If you’d like to remain anonymous when published, that’s fine, but I will need to know who you are initially. Confidentiality is guaranteed.
It is important to note that not every story shared may appear in the initial publication, but I expect other volumes to follow in the future.
IF YOU’RE NOT A WRITER, LET’S CHAT INSTEAD
If you are not a writer, and I know many who aren’t, I’d be happy to record an interview with you and send the transcript to you for approval.
I’D BE GRATEFUL IF YOU’D SPREAD THE WORD
Feel free to Like and Share the Facebook page I’ve created for the project – I’d love to really capture the essence of growing up in Australia (warts and all) in this book. It should be loads of fun.
I invite you to contact me if you are interested.
