Grow Your Online Presence through Your Blog

An online presence is imperative for a brand or business to connect with its ideal clients. If the people you want to target online cannot find you when they search for your business, product, or service, you WILL lose their business. This is why building a digital presence, which integrates elements including original content creation, social media, and ethical search engine optimization, is important.

But did you know that having a blog as part off your website can dramatically boost your online presence as well?

Here are some tips you can follow to grow your online presence through your blog:

Share Valuable Content

The value of content has grown. In fact, last year was proclaimed as the ‘year of content’. You will see the phrase ‘content is king’ all over the internet, and for good reason. When you share valuable content about what you offer, or relevant industry news and insights, you become an ‘authority’ in your niche. As a result, your credibility skyrockets.

Leverage the Power of Words

Google loves well written, relevant, and unique content. There is no need to constantly update your website landing pages in order to satisfy the search engines. Instead, you can deliver what they want by regularly updating your blog.

Your blog posts should contain natural (not forced) keywords (the words or phrases that your ideal clients enter into search engine query boxes), along with semantics that one would expect to appear in a post on the nominated topic.

The more often you add to your blogs, the more often Google will visit your site to look for new pages to index.

Once Google identifies you as a source of unique information your rankings within your niche will improve.

Expand Your Digital Footprint

The best part about having a blog is you can expand your digital footprint. If you have a website and social media profiles, the blog will give you one more avenue to target potential customers. Moreover, you can share the content you post on your blog on Facebook, Twitter, and other platforms.

There are plugins for WordPress sites that automatically post links to new blogs to social media platforms as soon as you publish them – easy peasy. This makes it so easy to grow your digital footprint, enabling you to increase your network and get more people into the loop.

Other plugins make it easy for your readers to share your posts through social media as well – and social proof such as this is a powerful thing!

These are just some of the ways you can grow your online presence through a blog within your website. As long as you engage your readers and offer them valuable and sharable content, your blog will be a great asset. It is a great way to build lasting credibility – and you can create an entire content marketing strategy with your blog as the springboard.

If writing for your blog sounds like a burden, the good news is that you can outsource these to content writers – like Kerry Finch Writing!
